Vastu Shastra
India is the birthplace of the classic Indian architectural system known as Vastu Shastra. Principles of design, layout, measures, ground preparation, space arrangement, and spatial geometry are all covered in texts from the Indian subcontinent. Traditional Hindu and, occasionally, Buddhist ideas are incorporated into Vastu Shastras. By using geometric patterns (yantra), symmetry, and directional alignments, the designs seek to link architecture with nature, the relative functions of different elements of the structure, and ancient beliefs.
The textual part of Vastu Vidya, or the larger body of knowledge concerning ancient Indian architectural and design theories, is known as Vastu Shastra. With or without the aid of layout diagrams, Vastu Vidya knowledge is a collection of flexible ideas and concepts. Instead, these notions and ideas serve as models for how space and shape should be arranged within a building or group of buildings according to their respective purposes, usage, and the overall Vastu. The design of Mandir (Hindu temples) and the layout and design of homes, towns, cities, gardens, roads, water systems, stores, and other public spaces are all governed by the ancient Vastu Shastra principles.
